Dear Parent (s) / Guardian(s),

Firstly, we would like to extend a warm welcome to the parents and students who are new to the community of St. Declan’s College. We wish you a happy and fulfilling experience over the coming years, so that your son reaches his full potential as a student and an individual during his time here.

The role of the Parents’ Council is a forum to discuss issues that impact on the overall student body and how we as parents can support the school for the good of all students.

For the time being St Declan’s College Parents' Council will hold meetings once a month with a parent representative from each academic year attending. At present we are inviting a parent representative from 1st year to volunteer to attend our meetings. If more than one parent volunteers, we will put the names in a hat and pick one.

Please contact us at to express your interest.

St Declan’s College Parents' Council hosts a fundraiser occasionally. We are delighted to announce that ‘The Draíocht Players’ will present ‘DA’ by Hugh Leonard on Thursday 13th October at 8 pm. in the school library. The Draíocht Players are a local Drama group who perform for charity across Dublin and other counties. They have been loyal supporters of St Declan’s College for many years now. Some of their actors are past pupils of St Declan’s College.

The last time they performed was in March 2020 just before the school closed due to the pandemic. We are very excited to be able to welcome them back and hope you will show your support by attending on the 13th of October.

The link to purchase tickets (€10 for adults & €5 for students) will be available through Easypayments on the school website

Alternatively payment can be made and tickets ordered by phoning the school office at 01-8380357.

Your receipt will be your ticket. It will be possible to purchase a ticket at the door on the night of the play also. We thank you in advance for your ongoing support for St Declan’s College and look forward to seeing you on the 13th of October.

Kind regards,

Frances Boland
