Dead Lucky!!

Dead Lucky!!

Congratulations to everyone who was involved in the production of St Declan's College school play 'Dead Lucky' which was staged on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May in the school library. The cast, stage crew, set designers, make up artists, the houseband, the play producers & directors Ms Doyle, Ms Grady and Mr Burke and all the support team are to be highly commended for treating us to a wonderful production.

From start to finish the audience was engaged in and enthralled by a highly humorous play about good fortune, luck, opportunity and happiness. Ballymuckross, a village in rural Ireland, set the scene for skulduggery of the highest order when it was discovered that one of the villagers was fortunate enough to have the winning numbers for the lottery, netting a jackpot figure in excess of six million euro. The village conspired against the National Lottery to ensure the winnings would not be lost to the locals.

Music, fun and roguish Irish humour sent everyone home with a smile on their face as the tale twisted and unfolded. The finale of Martin McDonnell's rendition of the Parting Glass brought the curtain down on what was truly a memorable night and highlight of the school year.
