The boys spent a memorable four days in Munich and Salzburg over the November midterm break.
Day one after a very early start in Dublin airport they landed in Munich and enjoyed a walking tour of the city, starting in Marienplatz and finishing at the Englischer Gartens where they watched the surfers taking on Munich's unique artificial wave the Eisbachwelle.
Day two brought them to the very south of Bavaria to the Saltmines of Berchtesgaden and on to beautiful Salzburg. The day ended back in Munich with a visit to the Alianz Arena.
Day three was spent between the Olympic Park, BMW Welt, the BMW Museum and the city centre for some shopping.
On the last day they visited the Memorial site of Dachau Concentration Camp followed by a visit to the beautiful Nymphenburg Palace, one of the many homes of the famous King Ludwig.
The school tour is an annual event for second and third year pupils. In recent years the boys have visited Lake Garda, Strasbourg, Barcelona, Rome, Munich and Paris.
