Our U.16s footballers were out against Salesian College last Friday 23rd Feb in Abbotstown.
The toughest game of their tournament so far and a nerve wrecking start to the game with 3 key players absent on the day.
Nevertheless, the lads stepped up and got the job done, showing positive teamwork and determination to earn a well deserved place in the Dublin schools final.
Our forwards attacked many of the oppositions kick outs in the first half, earning some cracking scores, to include goals from Rory Duffy, Fionn O'Shea and Mark Waters.
Final score: St Declan's College 5-13 Selesian College 2-8
The lads now go on to play Malahide in the Dublin schools final this coming Friday March 1st. Time and venue to be confirmed. All support very much welcome!
