St Declan's College

College Chaplain

Our college chaplain is Fr Michael O’Grady P.P., a native of Dollymount. Fr O’Grady was appointed Co Parish Priest of the Most Precious Blood Parish, Cabra West, in August 2015. He was previously a curate attached to the Pro-cathedral. As chaplain to the school Fr O’Grady will become a frequent visitor when he joins us in our liturgical and college celebrations as well as ministering to our students.

His first official duty in St Declan’s was to deliver the opening prayer and reflection at the Bernard McCormack Bursary awards this September. More recently our first year students together with their families and teachers celebrated the opening term at a special mass in the church of The Most Precious Blood. We extend a very warm welcome to Fr O’Grady and wish him many years of happiness among the congregation of Cabra and especially working with the school community.
