2nd and 3rd year school tour
The second and third year school tour has a long standing tradition in St Declan’s. We have travelled to many European cities over the years. In the last four years we have visited Paris, Munich, Rome and most recently Strasbourg. Our next tour, which takes place during the October mid-term break, will bring us to Barcelona.
While on tour, the boys have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and to develop a sense of independence. When planning a tour every effort is made to ensure that students will learn as much as possible from their experience and that the itinerary is varied, stimulating and action packed. Students and teachers alike return home after a trip exhausted but happy and more often than not students will have made new friends. The school tour also helps foster positive relationships between students and teachers which in turn yields dividends in the classroom.
Students are offered places according to our School Tour Policy. Unfortunately, places are sometimes limited and not everyone wishing to travel will be offered a place on every trip. Every effort is made, however, that students who wish to will get to travel either during their second or third year.
