Transition Year (TY) students recently took on the meaningful role of leading the school community in Advent reflections by delivering assemblies to each year group. These thoughtfully crafted presentations explored the significance and traditions of Advent, with a particular focus on the theme of Unity in response to divisions highlighted by recent elections and other items in the news.
The students planned and delivered the assemblies which emphasized how this season encourages individuals of all faiths—and those without—to reflect on Unity, Hope, and Love in their own lives and communities. Students were given an Advent challenge to be more conciliatory in their interactions and engage respectfully with opposing views.
Many thanks to Max, James, Rhys, Liam, Aidan, Tadhg, Sean and Andrew.
