Guidance plays a pivotal role in the life of the school community. School Management, Year Heads, Tutors and Teachers work together not only to educate our students but support them in their journey through school as part of whole school guidance.
The Guidance Department has a special role however within this wider role to facilitate students make good career, educational and personal choices during their time at school. Our Guidance Counsellor, Ms Tierney offers a comprehensive guidance service that provides advice, information, teaching and counselling to the students under three headings:

Personal Guidance
Counselling is offered on an individual and group basis. It aims to support students as they learn to manage the various challenges of growth and development and deals with any concerns which may impact on a student’s wellbeing.
Referral is made when necessary to appropriate outside agencies.
