West Leinster Schools’ Cross Country Championships
17 students from St. Declan’s competed in the West Leinster Schools’ Cross Country Championships on Thursday 26th January. The races took place at the Pope’s Cross, Phoenix Park. 32 schools competed on the day. The top 15 athletes in each event and the top 3 teams qualified for the Leinster Schools’ Cross Country Finals. While none of our students managed to reach the top 15, it was a great day of running and our students were very successful on the day. Well done to all our athletes who competed on the day.
A special congratulations to Callum Lynch who came 37th place and Stephen Rafferty who came in 51st place out of 132 runners in the Inter Boys’ race. Also, a congratulations to Louis Murray who came 70th place and Finn Walsh who came 76th place out of 147 runners in the Junior Boys' race. Well done.
Chip-timing was used at the event. All individual and team results are available from the ‘POPUPRACES’ website.
